Recently, I was blessed to be gifted a trip to New York. Yep. Gifted! It was quite literally the adventure of a lifetime for more reasons than one. A wonderful three week holiday, full of endless moments of pleasure across all realms the city has to offer. New York is simply a mecca of activity. Whether your thing is food, sights, big cities, shopping or just chilling out, New York could never disappoint.
Found this really cool video from Cut Video. Here’s the first in a series exhibiting 100 years of beauty and hair styles by decade in 60 seconds! I loved it. More to come.
During Winter 2014, I thought I would venture out into the retail world of Sydney to see what gorgeous fashions needed to be taken home.
Every season, I love to go and see what ranges of colours, shapes, fabrics, patterns, lengths, and accessories adorn the shelves of my favourite designers, and I have to say this season, I was nothing but extremely disappointed.
This year I had an important event that I needed to be beautifully dressed for and so I admit that I was looking for something special. Like a beautiful skirt for example?
But. Then. Whoa!

You know, when I find myself in Sydney city these days, I am always eager to check out what people are wearing to work. I have just returned from New York where I have to say, by and large the working population have really got it together, at least in the sense of their wardrobes. I was there at the start of Winter and so naturally that meant that I saw the beautiful coats, scarfs, and boots which we all know are the perfect marriage.

Inked. Yep. It looks like tattoos are here to stay. Or so it seems.
When the day arrives and tattoos are no longer fashionable, there will be a sea of people and I mean, a sea of people, heading to … well, the place that removes tattoos. Whatever that place is. Cosmetic surgeons or beauty salons with laser machines? Or maybe people will go back to the tattoo parlour they went to in the first place. If I was enterprising in a different kind of way, I would be thinking about opening up a tattoo removal shop, because if my predictions are anything to go by, I reckon the tattoo removalists are going to get busy. Really busy.
