Leona Edmiston is Australia’s very own Frock Queen …
The Leona Edmiston label is beautiful, wearable, and affordable.
Leona describes her own label as being feminine, easy to wear, and eternally suitable for the urban sophisticate in our ever changing fashion world.
Label Ministry will be catching up with Leona in the very near future for an in-depth interview, but for now here is a sneak peek of last night’s capsule of city glamour to whet your fashion apetite …
It was a pretty cold Tuesday evening but even during my blustery journey through the wind of the Sydney urban jungle, I was warmed by the idea and excitement of attending a very special event celebrating the important collaboration between the iconic Australian fashion designer, Leona Edmiston and the global technology giants, Apple.
The Apple store in George Sydney last night was abuzz with well dressed fashionistas and stunning live models who lined the front windows dressed in the latest stunning Leona Edmiston collection. There were many who ventured out to meet and greet Leona Edmiston, and to listen to her being interviewed by Damien Woolnough, Deputy Editor of Elle Magazine.
Last night previewed her upcoming Spring Sumer Collection 2015 and the celebration surrounding her collaboration with Apple, and which saw the official launch of her new range of fashion accessories for Macbooks and Ipads which are now available on the online store. Find your newest accessory here.
Like everything Leona does, these accessories are beautifully appointed, designed and well crafted. They represent the very signature and patterns of her unmistakable uniqueness, and often speak of a time gone by.
I recently met Leona at which time I asked her about how she chooses the fabrics and prints for her work, and where the inspiration comes from. She told me that she delves into archives to find inspiration and that she must love it in order to use it in any of her collections.
Her passion is clear and articulately expressed. Her presence and her position within the industry is well established, hugely respected, not to mention, unmatched.
Until next time,
Jade x
